Hotels Isle of Arran where Covid Common Sense Prevails

Even though Covid restrictions are slowly being relaxed, it is likely that we will have to live with this virus for some time to come which makes hotels Isle of Arran problematical places to stay if safety precautions are to be fully adhered to. For many hotels, Isle of Arran visitors will have to keep to fairly strict guidelines if their safety is to be preserved, these include Isle of Arran hotel lounges and dining rooms being reconfigured to allow the required social spacing to occur and for guests to be safe.

We know that hotels Isle of Arran are doing their very best to meet all the requirements brought about by Covid 19 and most of them are doing an excellent job but may we suggest an alternative which gives you many of the benefits of a hotel but with the assurance that your holiday accommodation on Arran will be self contained and therefore much safer?

A Covid Friendly Alternative to Hotels Isle of Arran

Alternative to hotels Isle of Arran Kirk at Kildonan Self Catering Accommodation on Arran

The Kirk at Kildonan is a former church that has been converted into a holiday home with a difference. The emphasis has been on comfort, flexibility and making the most of our lovely location, almost next to the beach and next to the forest walks and stunning Eas Mor Falls of the Eas Mor Project which is almost literally on our doorstep.

At the heart of this flexibility is the ability to customise the space you require whilst remaining completell self contained. This is due to our self catering apartment on Arran having up to 2 additional bedrooms, each with its own entrance, that can be added to your booking as required. All parts of the property that you will occupy during your stay are accessed through an entrance that we do not usually use. Although we, the proprietors, do live under the same roof and are always on hand, we are in a different “wing” of the house and, except in emergencies, never need to enter the self contained area in which you will be accommodated.

Of course this does pose some problems, it means that we cannot service the rooms in the way we would like but all it takes is a text message, email or phone call and we can deliver such things as fresh towels, bedding and logs for the stove and leave them at the entrance to the property for you. If a situation arises wherein we do have to enter your apartment or room this will be done in a Covid friendly manner with appropriate precautions being taken by us and our staff.

Sorry – No Sauna but that’s true of all hotels Isle of Arran for the time being!

Normally we welcome our guests to use our facilities such as the sauna, cinema room with surround sound and our gym but, alas, these have to be out of bounds until Covid restrictions are lifted so if you have seen earlier versions of the listings for this website where these facilities are mentioned please accept our apologies and rest assured that as soon as we can reopen them, we will.
